ARLINGTON COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION \ 2007-2008

As Webmaster of Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, I designed and created numerous pages for events, initiatives, news, on-going programs, and the environment, among other topics. This included creation of images and graphics, editing of information for importance and relevance, and hand-coding to ensure standards and ADA compliance. In addition, I redesigned many pages to enhance user experience, improve visibility, and become standards compliant. The overall Arlington County web theme was guided by style sheets already in place to ensure visual coherence. This included the header, footer, and right-hand sidebar. Having no control over that style, I worked to inovate within stylistic and CMS parameters to provide a unique and pleasing user experience. Visit the website
